The lifecycle

Six phases. Take one, or take all of them.

A facility has an order of operations, so this list is numbered. Most clients come to us at 01, when there is nothing but a load estimate and a site, or at 05, when a hall already exists and is being run harder than it was designed for.

01AssessFeasibility, site selection and a load model you can defend to a board.You have a load estimate, maybe a site, and a board that wants a number.
02DesignConcept to construction drawings — power, cooling, containment, fire, security.The decision to build is made and you need a design that will survive tender.
03BuildTender, contractor selection, site supervision and an honest change log.You have a design and a budget, and you need someone whose interests are yours.
04CommissionLevels 1 to 5, ending with integrated systems testing under load.Construction is finishing and nobody has proved the hall does what the drawing says.
05OperateDay-to-day operation, maintenance regime, capacity and incident response.The hall exists and is being run harder than it was designed for.
06ModerniseDensity upgrades, efficiency retrofits, liquid cooling and migration.Your density has outgrown the hall and nobody wants to move the load.
