The lifecycle
A facility has an order of operations, so this list is numbered. Most clients join at 01, with nothing but a load estimate and a site, or at 05, when a hall already exists and is being run harder than it was designed for.
Claims and status
In this trade "Tier III" can mean three different things: independently certified, designed to the standard but never assessed, or simply claimed. Buyers get caught by the gap. So here is every standard we work to, with its status against our own name — and how you can check it without taking our word.

No certificate issued against our name yet. Ask which client projects hold TCDD, TCCF or TCOS, then look the facility up in Uptime's public certification directory.
ANSI/TIA-942 Rated-3

A design certificate is not a build certificate, and a build certificate is not an operations certificate. Ask which one, at which stage, issued when.
Fees and scope
Consultancy is quoted per phase — a fixed fee where the scope can be defined, a rate where it genuinely cannot. This is the line we draw, written down here rather than discovered at invoice stage.
All of it is written into the scope before you sign. Anything that moves from the right column to the left is a variation, and it is priced in writing before work starts.
Getting started
01
Forty-five minutes, on a call or walking the room. Bring your single-line diagram if you have one, and your worst-case load. If you have neither, that is what phase 01 is for.

Two working days. You get a scope of work, a programme with dates, a fee, and the assumptions we made — written down, so you can hand it to procurement.

Nothing is billed until the scope is signed. If the answer is that you do not need us yet, we will say so and tell you what to do instead.

What we actually specify
Before you ask
A scope of work, a programme with dates, a fee, and a written list of the assumptions we made to arrive at them. Two working days after the call. You can hand it straight to procurement, and if you decide against us you keep it.
Yes, and most clients do. Design without build is common, and so is commissioning a facility somebody else designed. The one combination we push back on is commissioning our own design without an independent witness — you should have someone else's eyes on that.
Read the claims and status section on the front page — every standard we work to is listed with its current status against our name and how you can check it yourself. Short version: ask for a certificate number and look it up in the certifying body's public directory. That is true of us and of everyone else bidding.
Phase 06, modernise. The first job is measuring what the hall can actually take, because the binding constraint is rarely where people assume — it is often the cooling return path or the busway, not the utility feed. That assessment takes about three weeks and tells you whether an upgrade beats building elsewhere.
Both, and that is the point. Network, compute, storage, security and managed operations are designed against the same load model and the same failure scenarios as the power and cooling. Two separate consultants means two sets of assumptions and a gap between them that nobody owns.
Drawings, as-builts, calculations, test results, runbooks and training records — in editable formats, not locked PDFs. You should be able to replace us with another firm without re-buying the documentation.
